Using Crypto Currencies For Loyalty Programs

I came across this post this morning that mentioned the idea of using crypto currencies to pay customer loyalties, instead of a point or miles based system.

This year has had to be a record year when it comes to big name companies finding reasons to start using/accepting crypto currencies. This is really good for crypto currency because it helps bring acceptance of a new financial asset to a bigger audience.

The post I am going to share below with you today mentioned using crypto currencies to reward customers for being loyal. Some big companies are considering moving to a system that would do just exactly that. The main reason is that studies are showing that customers are not into the old and mundane customer loyalty programs that are already in place and being offered.

The writer of this post stated that people want cash and that offering a loyalty program that uses crypto currency to reward it's customers is being considered. This is great news if big name companies do transition to a crypto based rewards programs.

A Transition To Crypto Based Loyalty Programs

A transition to rewarding customers with crypto currencies has some really cool hidden benefits for the crypto movement:

People will start becoming very familiar with the different types of crypto and their wallets.
Rewarding customers with crypto currencies will then create a demand for places to use them in their everyday lives.....like buying a coffee at a StarBucks in My town Of Marion, Indiana.
Demand for the ease of use in our everyday lives will then force a transition to be made that would a least include ease of use at your local retailer.
It would force governments to take look at how they are taxing crypto currencies when compared to fiat currencies. As of right now in the USA, most sizable amounts of crypto currencies are taxed at the same rate as capital gains.

My Final Thoughts

I spend my days working on-line in a community of Entrepreneurs and Affiliate Marketers that has been hit hard over the last 3-4 yrs from PayPal stopping all payments from being processed without warning or reason for their businesses. This has lead to a whole industry scrambling to find a new way to process payments.

Little by little the businesses I deal with each day have started to process payments via crypto currencies. Whether paying their affiliate commissions or accepting payment for their products or services, they are finding that crypto is very easy and secure to use once it is set up.

The problem for them and myself is that using crypto off-line is not so easy in most parts of the USA. Taxes for holding crypto currencies are high, then you throw in the cost of converting crypto to the USD.....well your better of just keeping your crypto transactions on-line.

Offering Crypto for loyalty rewards, I think could help force everyone to become educated as well as force mainstream adoption of crypto!!
