The Untold Story of Pumps and Dumps

in #bitcoins7 years ago

We all enjoy seeing the lush green candles on the graphs of the the cyptos we invested. Don't we ? We all enjoy sitting and riding on those 5x, 10x, those mammoth stratospheric returns. Don't we ? We do, we all do. While we all think that it's because of the hype which our coin's new wallet release or some conference, this post will tell you that it can be more than that.

I will explain you the untold story of how the prices of these cryptos are so heavily manipulated by some Richie Riches,  Batmans and some Wannabes.

a) The Cast:

There are four major characters in this story.

1) Richie Riches: These are the group of people who have loads of money and want to invest in cryptos but they don't have that much time and patience to actually sit and analyse the graphs. They those who want their money to work for them. Th

2) The Batmans: Batmans, these are those ubetrly intelligent, talented, sharp analysts who manage the The Richie Rich's money by giving them buy and sell signals for a cypto. They have elite designated groups on Telegram, WhatsApp and every possible platform.

The Richie Rich needs to pay a some of BTC to be part of these groups. But, there's a catch, they use two messaging groups, elite one for the Richie Riches (the paid ones) and the free one for The Wannabes.

3) The Wannabes: These are normal people who have just entered the crypto scene and they want to just make instant money by finding the one coin which can help them do that. They follow the Batmans on all the social networking platforms, they are part of those free groups  by the Batmans.

2) The Plot:

The plot goes fairly simple.

1) Batman, being an expert analyst carefully sees graphs, charts and picks up a coin whose graphs looks something like this, or you can say that it's in it's accumulation stage. Also, he carefully sees whether there's a driving factor for this coin in the coming days. Something like a app release, platform release or may be some shit conference.

Batman will now fill his bag with this coins and before anyone else. He would buy at really low volume which would be distributed over time so that there ain't any big candles appearing on the graphs and he goes unnoticed. The following image shows the same.

2) Now, when Batman has picked has filled his bag, he posts a buy signal in his elite group of The Richie Riches. He'd give then a confidence of making 2x or 3x gains in like a span of a day or two. Soon, these whales will start buying chunks and chunks of this coin which no one ever heard also as of now. And the saga of the Green Candles will start coming. The candle sticks will start rising and we start some nice up-trending price action. The following image shows the same.

3) And, then the Batman posts the same to his free groups which consists most of The Wannabes. The same post goes to social networks to even more number of Wannabes. Soon, within a matter of hours, the Fear Of Missing Out[FOMO] kicks in and we see huge volumes being pumped into the coin. The Wannabes think of the coin which they have been waiting all the time and put all their fortunes into it just not miss the train. And boom, we see new All Time Highs. The following graph show the same.

4) Once reaching the high, Batman then dumps his bag and takes tons of profit. He later posts a sell signal in his elite group which triggers massive dumping. The wannabes don't even come to know and keep waiting for the time it should shoot back again, which in most of the cases never happens.

Trapped in a position they either hold in anticipation that some Batman would this coin and help them to take out of their position or just sell it in loss. Image shows the same.

The Batman then goes a hunt of another similar looking graph and does the same.

And this is how the Story ends.

PS: Mind you the price of the above example went from 20sats to 170sats. You do the math.
