Bitconnect to the suprise of few people on this site is finally closing shop. As per their official release:

Luckily I didn't invest anything in BCC since it seemed a little too fishy yet there are plenty of people that have, which makes this a bittersweet moment. Like with any pyramid scheme there are the people who profit from the building of the pyramid and those who are left holding the now highly diminished bricks. As of now according to coinmarketcap is worth a whopping $12.60 vs $227 this time yesterday. All to make matters worse I just got in contact with a person close to me who bought into the hype and had "invested" in BCC. Counter to the initial statement above his money has not been released nor does he have access to his BCC payout. To make matters worse I tried to help him by extracting the BCC dividend from his account but noooooo the site was undergoing "maintenance". The people who set up this pyramid scheme need to pay and get a taste of their own medicine. Also the "affiliates" who promoted the product and profited wildly from it.
