Your point is well taken, but you only lost on GM and BoA if you sold at a bad time after buying at a worse time. Your problem is you bought at the wrong time and also sold at the wrong time, like most market participants do.
Also, not to digress, GM is trying to be a ponzi scheme stock - look into their extreme channel stuffing. They are doing nothing but pulling forward future sales to pay what they couldn't now. They literally went bankrupt and should have gone to 0. Investing in a failing company that should have been auctioned in bankruptcy over a decade ago is not much better than BCC.
Also, they make shit cars.
There are orders of magnitude more risk in something like BCC. The gains promised are so clearly a ponzi. How can you not see that this is a ponzi when it meets all the criteria?
Do you think some mysterious Thai trading bot is making 5500% gains to pay these people out? Are you that naive?
If BCC dies tomorrow, and you go around telling people you had this sweet investment that promised 5500%+ a year, do you think even one of those people will not look at you like an idiot that should have known what's coming?

Yeah, I don't really trade in the normal markets anymore because of all the HFT manipulation. You can't really win without a bot and a nano-fiber line straight to the exchange.
BCC will eventually be 0. That is mathematically certain. If you want to gamble on getting off the train in time, knock yourself out. Don't say I didn't warn you.
