Coinbase and Bitfinex have added support for SegWit

in #bitfinex8 years ago (edited)

unnamed.png Although many services have already added support for SegWit, the actions of Coinbase and Bitfinex are of great importance, given the volumes of bitcoins that are accessed on each platform - Bitfinex and CoDbase's GDAX platform accounted for almost one tenth of the global volume of BTC transactions in the previous 24 hours. This indicator even underestimates the impact of these platforms, because it does not include the Coinbase wallets platform. Both Bitfinex and GDAX are among the 10 largest exchanges in the world in terms of trading volume at the 5th and 8th places, respectively.

Coinbase had previously encountered a negative reaction from the community to higher transaction fees in the Bitcoin network, the inability of customers to withdraw funds to PayPal accounts and credit cards that were disabled as payment methods for US customers
This is very good news
