BitShares Asset Creation was put on hold to fix a non-critical inaccurate rounding issue when creating a new Asset.

there was an issue with asset creation when fee is paid in other asset than BTS. we scanned the live network and found nobody exploited it as nobody paid fees for asset creation in other currency than the core token(BTS).

We asked the committee to increase asset creation fee drastically while we were working on it. some more info can be found at: http://www.bitshares.foundation/announcements/2017-10-19-bitshares-asset-creation-incident

we need to talk about the need of the fee increase to be honest. there are businesses relying on this, especially if it was not exploited

Yeah I only started combing the net for intel when i saw it was at 5,000,000,000 BTS. No hurries though, I think it's better to sacrifice a little bit of time if that's what it takes to make the platform more robust.
