Just a quick update on the state of bitshares-solid-ui development!
As you can see from the above image, since the last update almost 48k lines of code have been rearranged and almost 8k lines of code have been removed in 21 commits!
I've been using GitHub Copilot to accelerate my development efforts & I have to say it has certainly justified its' $10/month price tag; sometimes its' recommendations suck, however other times it cuts hundreds of keystrokes out for the exact same lines of code I was thinking of, awesome!
I was conflicted regarding the use of copilot, like will AI take my job in the future kinda worried, but I figured since all the projects I work on are fully opensource & MIT licensed then I might as well take advantage of the tech which will be trained on my/our code regardless of my feelings/usage (lol).
Almost all of the stores have been updated; the only remaining task for most of them is to move bound listener function triggering to the action functions, so rather than listening for an action to trigger before reacting, we will directly retrieve/change store contents from the actions folder files.
Once these two tasks are complete, the next task is to move onto uplifting the component files; this is a 400 file colossal task! If anyone's interested in joining in the effort once it begins, make your way to the github repo!
We've also got several new open github issues for discussion:
- Proposal: Replacing Ant Design
- Proposal: Replacing alt.js with solid stores
- Proposal: Fetch BTS network data through web server?
