S&P 500 Derivative on the BitShares DEX

A derivative index fund of the S&P 500 is available on the BitShares DEX called SNP500. As a derivative it is backed by BTS core tokens and can either be settled equivalent value of the core token, or can be traded on the DEX for any other asset. As a smart asset it only comes into existence after it is backed by somebody with BTS collateral. This is yet another interesting derivative that has been defined into existence by the Bit20 creators.
