"The presence of Blockchain is still at an early stage in Indonesia which has the potential of a digital economy estimated to be worth 130 billion USD in 2020. Will Blockchain change the lifestyle of Indonesian people? If you look at what has been applied in other countries, the answer is very visible," said Bari .

Indonesia according to him is the third most populous country in Asia with high penetration of internet and smartphone. Recorded already there are 140 millions of internet users with 70 million of whom are smartphone users.

"The Indonesian government should be ready to make new regulations regarding the development of this digital technology, such as how digital currency in the future can respond to the increasingly heavy economic challenges" added Bari.

In addition to regular players in digital currency, this international event will bring players in the digital business, IT startup, internet application developers, digital marketeers, and Fintech-base companies to collect and expand their networks.

ICO and technology companies from around the world including those related to Islamic Finance such as Bayanat Fintech and Blossom Finance will present their blockchain project, but there will be no crypto currency trading during the event to comply with local regulations.

The conference will enable interested parties and stakeholders to gain more knowledge and information about the global market of digital assets as well as crypto currencies.

Regulatory and economic issues and impacts on the business environment will also be discussed in the forum. The conference will provide input to companies, industry players and regular attendees on how blockchain technology will revolutionize business and improve efficiency in the economy.

"We also expect many investors and venture capital to attend this conference to explore opportunities in this huge Indonesian market," said Denis Gutnik, Blockchain Indo's 2018 Relationship Manager.

Abas A Jalil, CEO of Amanah Capital Group Limited, said that Southeast Asia, especially the Indonesian market has huge potential for Blockchain and fintech sectors, especially in Islamic Finance and Digital Business.
