With the advent of internet, people can share and transmit data containing important information. The collection of data known as files which has different types such as images, videos, music and documentation. The sharing of these files help us to exchange the information with one another.
Today there are many file sharing services in the market but none of them are perfect. They have many disadvantages which include:
• limited amount of data storage option;
• slow file transfer rate;
• non competitive file sharing services in case of illegal files;
• limited number of options;
• insufficient data security;
• limit in free file sharing;
But now thanks to Files.fm platform which provides legal and free service to store, access, search and share useful content.
Project objective
The main aim of the project is to create a legal and free platform Files.fm Library which allow users to conveniently store, share, access, eliminate illegal file sharing and preserving of files.
Principle of operation
Files.fm Library (FFL) allow users to conveniently store, access, search files on a secured and user-friendly interface. On the FFL platform users can do operations such as - store, search file, sort as they want, access it, sell files and deal with copyright complaints.
On the FFL platform users can search files with simple parameters such as by keywords, sort files by category and file type. If the searched file is free to use then users can access it instantly or if it is paid content then user need to pay the prescribed fee to access it. The FFL system works on any browser.

On the FFL platform, all the files uploaded to the P2P network will be pass through security checks for file legality, virus/malwares and copyright compliance. All this scanning is done by humans and Artificial Intelligence. If any file fail to pass the check and if it is found with virus installed or copyright infringement then the file will be immediately removed and the user will be fined. If this behaviour repeatedly occurs then the user will be permanently banned from the network. Once the file gets successfully uploaded on the network then the file owner can add meta data, payment information for accessing the file.
After successfully uploading the file it goes through sorting process. Users can participate in the sorting process through the web panel, where files which needs manual work will be listed for sorting process. In sorting, users need to enter the metadata manually such as description, tags, keywords etc. FFL system verifies this data by comparing with other users input data. If the entered data matches, then the user will be rewarded and if the data is incorrect then the user will be punished with FFL tokens. For repeated violation the user will be banned.
If the system detects any copyright content then the file will be blocked by the system until the author verify his ownership. File owner can set the price for his content or can request for removal. He can also sell the file for FFL tokens on the platform.
The FFL platform will host and support these files for storing such as: images, videos, ebooks, music, movies, TV shows etc.
The platform allow users to earn FFL tokens on the network. In order to do this users need to download the official application and allow his computer resource power to increase the network bandwidth.
The FFL platform will also provides cloud storage service to store the data. The storage capacity depends on the number tokens in the users account (100 FFL = 1GB).
