DISCIPLINA, THE BEST ALTERNATIVE BLOCKCHAIN

If you still haven’t heard the word “blockchain” or “Bitcoin” until now, then you’re likely living in a cave. Ever since what I like to call as the “big bang of cryptocurrencies” had started a few years ago. And ever since, we’ve been seeing blockchain that covers most aspects of life, including memes themselves. (Yes, there’s a cryptocurrency known as the “Dogecoin”). But what truly amazes me about this technology is how it can be used for innovative, developing methods that will take mankind to its next step further into a brighter future. If you look away from the funny and monetary cryptocurrencies and blockchain out there, you can see the potential that is currently rising in other fields that are crucial for mankind and can play an important role in our future.

The problem of standardized, but uncentralized education

Education has been a concern for lots of people in the past and until today. We lose our hair thinking about our tuition fees, our qualifications, how we’re going to prepare our C.V or whether or not it looks good enough, etc. Not only that but even for someone who is supposed to be looking for bright minds and great talents, they’d be having a really hard time to find the perfect “fit” for his team. Simply because you can’t always be 100% sure that the information provided in someone’s profile is true, nor are their academic qualifications proven either. You can easily find so many people with fancy certifications but lack all the talents for it.

That’s where blockchain technology comes to the rescue. While most people are focused on the blockchain as you read this now, there are other projects that are being developed for the sake of improving the educational sector and allow the likes of us to have a proper chance at facing the world while also lessening our stress.

I’m speaking of DISCIPLINA. A beautiful idea built by beautiful minds that hope to make it easier for students, recruiters and educational institutions to have a smoother experience with storing data and keeping everything validated and safe. As we all know, blockchain technology is unique mainly because of its impenetrable security. So imagine with me, what if we used blockchain technology for the sake of education? What is the potential of such an idea?
To have a clearer answer, let’s understand what DISCIPLINA is. It is a blockchain technology that simply aims to cut the hard work and give both the students, the educational institutions and any recruiter seeking talent for his institution to find what they’re looking for with ease and with as little trouble as possible. But how?

Imagine yourself as a student (if you’re not already) who is preparing for his C.V, but to get your C.V ready, you still need to get that certificate from your educational institution. You go to get it, only to find out that your certificate had been lost somehow, and you’d be really unlucky if that’s the case. Or if God forbid, the data archives of the entire institution had burnt down. Another case is if some rich kid had your degrees or certificates meddled with to suit his needs.

While those cases are unlikely to happen, they still do happen to some. Now if you’re a university, and you need to keep your student’s information updated constantly, it will prove difficult, as you’ll have to keep fetching the student’s files from the archive, update them, send them back, and the cycle continues. It’s time-consuming and sometimes a human mistake will eventually occur and the university will be harmed in the process.

This is where DISCIPLINA comes in. It’s similar to LinkedIn, except it uses blockchain and is constantly updated through automated methods that ease the hard work for the institutions. The platform enables institutions to use digital tests that prove the students' ability along with their degree and certification, then that data is stored in the blockchain, which cannot be tampered with, nor hacked at all, and then used by the recruiter who finds that data and finds that student fit. The person recruiting won’t have second thoughts mainly because he knows that the data provided were through DISCIPLINA, meaning that the student had actually proven their capabilities and qualifications. Think of it as an automated professional C.V. that will always look awesome.

It solves many problems that face all the parties mentioned before, but something about DISCIPLINA touches my heart; it will allow us to have a borderless education if implemented worldwide. Not just DISCIPLINA, but any blockchain used for the sake of education can allow us that. Since diplomas can now be stored on the blockchain, there is no barrier that disallows students from other continents to pursue their dream study field or join a specific university, simply because everyone will trust in the data provided in the blockchain, making it possible to join universities out of your reach. It will also allow students to use cryptocurrencies to pay for their tuition fees, which is a great relief.

The Team
Now, you must be wondering, why would there ever be a team that wants to do that? It’s fairly simple. The team that elaborated the project DISCIPLINA and "Teach Me Please" to the world has a unified, shared vision: improving education and implementing all the cool trending tech to the learning sector. They believe that in doing so, we fix so many problems that the world will eventually face in the future, if not facing it already. The harmony between all those young visionaries is inspiring for all teams from over the world. Did I mention that the foundation is also non-profit? Says much about them.

As for the advisors behind this interesting blockchain, they’re awesome, simply put. Highly experienced and knowing in the fields of e-commerce, blockchain tech, HR, and online advertising and marketing, they know the exact strategies that will need to be taken in order to go forward with this technology. But one of the advisors peaks my interest. Jason King, mainly because he is also the founder of the first accredited blockchain university known as “Academy”. Just the idea is mind-blowing.

Conclusion
So, I can safely say that when such a group of beautiful people who seek to fix the educational system and offer their helping hand is banded together, I’d be certain of this project’s success. Their whitepaper states everything that needs to be known about the project and its goals and objectives.

The token, named DSCP, can be bought in exchange of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. You can buy them from here. You can also gain DSCP from referrals or any kind of activity that helps the network. The network then rewards the users proportionally to the volume of DSCP tokens on the balance of each user.

DISCIPLINA shows much promise, and will also make way for important breakthroughs for other platforms and blockchain technologies to aid in the educational sector, all contributing to the healthiness of education and a better life for students.

this is the first time I hear about Disciplina.

Hm... it looks like an interesting way. Would love to see how that affects education in the long-term, and whether or not there will be new inventions that can kickstart the educational sector. Good work on the article, looking forward for more!
