Yes, you heard that right. In fact, consuming any original material online will never be free again, even via online sharing channels as YouTube and Vimeo, original content will never be free again. I know this sounds a little shitty as we have been watching and listening to stuff for free since the beginning of the internet. You are thinking I spend my entire day online digesting a constant stream of digital soup. Paying for everything original I view sounds like it could get very expensive.
Well if you are an original content creator, chances are you are going to come out way ahead, better than you could have ever expected to be compensated as writer, musician, videographer, digital artist and everyone in association with the creative arts including managers, curators, publicists, merchandisers, and producers.
And if you are an appreciator of the arts you may find that you also will be compensated just for being a fan and one of the first consumers of material. In a way, you would be investing in the material by purchasing your share. For example, a musician releases a new song on the blockchain. It has now been locked in, any other artist that produces music from this point forward will link back to this original content if similarities occur. The original artist and everyone related to that content being created and curated would be compensated for every use and every share of any portion of any of the artist's original material. Also from this point forward, all music released to anyone will be on a per share basis, as in the listener is buying a share of the song. This share would cost that listener a fraction of a cent which will be automatically withdrawn from the blockchain via a set of preset rules known as "a smart contract". If this listener, however, were to promote this song and share it with his friends for a fraction of a penny this original listener will be also compensated just for being of the first to hear a song from their favorite artist and share it with their friends.
Do you see how this works out as a win/win for everyone? Everyone is being compensated and everyone will be charged in a fully integrated digital blockchain commerce system. A commerce system that is fair and just with the artist being at the top of the pyramid earning the most and the most dedicated fans at a close second, forever. If you think of creativity as a living force, think of granting that living force all the inspiration and funding that it needs to grow organically in a pre-defined ecosystem.

I believe there would be a minimum requirement. A certain number of consecutive notes for music or pixels for images.
