Private blockchains at the moment are still seen as an overcomplication to centralised storage and while single point of failure is real and I'm sure there are other benefits companies won't switch over because they are tired to service providers.
I think a few startups will try to use private blockchains to disrupt the space by providing a cheaper alternative but it won't make much impact in terms of general public use in the near feature.

Yes friend. It is a bit complicated this world of the blockchain but it is as its name says, if it is private it is also limited only few can and make the decisions.
