Interesting; I think this has both positive aspects as well as negative. The average person could use some more privacy online but the people and groups that will take advantage of that are those that need exposing.
Lol the question is, who'll be the bait ? Besides I haven't really heard of anyone exposed as a result of taking advantage, mate . Thanks for sharing your thoughts though
I refer to the shady individuals/groups that would do things on it for the anonymity. Say for example a bank such as Goldman Sachs using the service to secretly donate Bitcoin to someone as an illegal favor. These things happen all the time, obviously not in the public's eye. The benefit of the blockchain is that those things can't be done in anonymity (for the most part, there are ways it can, I know).
For people like you and I this is great; if we wanted to buy something for our significant other and didn't want to be discovered initially such as a birthday present we could. There are just risks that we take with privacy and anonymity.
I could have also just completely understood your post wrong, so if that's the case then let me know but this is the impression I got out of it.
Ohh now I get you point buddy. Truly, it's a two faced coin, I understand better with your Goldman Sachs analogy .
I guess every technology wouldn't go down well with certain demography, irrespective of how good it is . Even till today, there are still the dark sides of the internet that habors drug dealers, illegal arms sellers etc but it doesn't takeaway it's positive sides . Likewise this; in a way, anonymity is great for the common man but better left that way to avoid funny transactions such as fraud and other illegal transactions . You're right indeed, let's just watch and see how it all plays out in the nearest future .
I appreciate your unique point of view and your invaluable comments mate, thanks for stopping by :)
