Internet and technology has greatly changed many things in our life. If you are a great lover of online shopping, then you must have known Amazon, the #1 retailer of online shopping. The best part of shopping with Amazon is its prime membership which offers free shipping of any item within 1 to 3 business days. It also offers same-day delivery on selected cities in case if you need anything urgently. If you are not satisfied with the quality of the product, you can easily return it back to the seller as Amazon offers free pickup facility from your location at a convenient time slot. So, you don’t have to visit any shop for buying things like electronic appliances, furniture, clothing, stationery items etc. Not only these items, but also you can order veggies, fruits and groceries online and get it delivered at your doorstep.
Online shopping is very useful for working people who don't have time for shopping on weekdays. To improve the speed of delivery, Amazon is developing a new concept called PrimeAir. It is nothing, but a delivery system based on automatic drones which will deliver the package to the customers without the intervention of humans. Using this drone, Amazon is planning to provide an ultrafast delivery within 30 minutes from the time the order was placed. But, the only limitation is that the weight of the package should be less than 5 pounds.
In China, they have recently tested an automatic drone which carried some passengers from one place to another. In countries like US and UK, driverless or self-driving vehicles are being tested. Do you know what is a self-driving vehicle? It is nothing but a vehicle that can run on its own without the intervention of a human being. The vehicle will be equipped with all the necessary sensors which will guide for its movement on the roads.
So, the future of transportation of goods/people will be drones and driverless vehicles. Even though some people are concerned about the safety of driverless vehicles, the research and development are progressing well to make sure that self-driven vehicles are 100 safe when compared with conventional vehicles driven by humans. Also, it will greatly reduce the expenses related to driver salary and perks as you don't need a driver for car anymore.
By thinking ahead, DAV (Decentralized Autonomous Vehicles), a nonprofit foundation headquartered in Switzerland is developing a blockchain based platform for connecting all the self-driving vehicles into the same network. Using this network, a user can request the service of any vehicle either for their transportation or to deliver a package. Vehicle owners can earn money by renting their vehicles to other users. Insurance companies and auto service providers will also get benefit from this platform. Check out https://dav.network/whitepaper.pdf to learn more about the interesting features of this platform.
To access the platform, the user needs to hold DAV tokens (a special token based on Ethereum ERC20 standard) which can be bought from the company during their token sale event. To know the latest information about the pricing, availability and sale terms, please visit https://dav.network/.
Interesting project. But it has miriads of problems to overcome.
Autonomous drones, driverless cars, and delivery robots are coming, along with a whole ecosystem of services around them. How can we make this happen sooner with open source?
I've read about Decentralized Autonomous Vehicles (DAV). It is amazinig how a simple idea as connecting all the self-driving vehicles into the same network can be implemented and developed in blockchain. No doubt DAV will play an important role in our future transportation, and this will change the whole transportation system around the world. The secret is to see these great ideas and be a part of it, not only to hear and then to regret we missed our chance to be involved in great projects, with huge benefits.
To me ,by doing that can benefit woman in anyway because they will think since they get one they should keep borrowing it and its taking much of there income ,,my own all individual to get his or her personal car for things to be more easier for them.comment and upvote @horlly
In my opinion self-driving vehicle is the future of the transportation. Just imagine how the world would look like if there are only this kind of cars and anybody can rent one of them. This would bring a solution for the parking problem, espeacely in the crowdy cities, would reduce the pulution, the traffic jam and many other issues. More than that I believe the accidents will be less, because the "driver" is not temping to check his smartphone or type messages. It's a great project, and I think that the world will use it sooner than we think.
Using DAV, anyone can join as a user and order rides and deliveries using DAV tokens from any vehicle provider
"It is nothing, but a delivery system based on automatic drones which will deliver the package to the customers without the intervention of humans". Well, few years ago I was dreaming at cars and planes, but who could say back than that technology would advance so much and so fast? Hands up for this futuristic project. As for transporting people, I can not wait to see it on my street on a daily basis. For sure this platform is the right place to invest in. Keep us updated, @danizaharie!
Thanks @jackandrew
Great team behind this project. It can be a real success!
That really amazing... i heard about the amazon drone transporting system ...but i dont know about DAV ...this tech is amazing ....that why everyone saying that cryptos are the future...very nice post sir....resteemed
Thank you @kartiksingh
It's really good topic coz it is technology post..
It's very important for us....thanks
Real good idea!
for such technologies the future of mankind. Working people do not have time to shop in the stores during the week, they have a lot to do other than work. Amazon is one of the most popular online stores, you can tell Internet giants, but they are looking into the future, so set about developing a new concept PrimeAir. This clearly can be called a breakthrough technology in the field of Internet sales as well as the fast speed of delivery by air - this is the future. The same can be said about self-controlled electric cars.
DAV looks ahead even more and makes bold steps to set up a business. Soon they will take their share in this market and will promote their services. I believe that this is a promising platform that has great potential for development.
thanks for the interesting article, and for the links that you provide
The future of transportation is indeed really interesting. I can't wait to see how far technology can bring us.
I love technology post thanks for the information I appreciate your post my friend @danizaharie
Wow DAV? The developers are visionaries that's a wonderful idea one for the future
DAV! I learned something new today , ty
Очень хорошая статья
Had a quick look for DAV on coinmarketcap - it's not the same as DAV (davor)?
The world is really going digital. I love this revolution, I wish my country, Nigeria, can meet up with the pace. Thanks for sharing
Wow, quite interesting...
brilliant post
That would be great. It is good to know about that.

Daniza, thanks for the post DAV. I am hoping to purchase a used Tesla someday and it seems this will fit well into the DAV system. Are you part of the team developing this concept. Followed upvoted and resteemed..
The future knocks at our doors, even if we wanted or not. This things are going to happen because technology is advancing fast and people are looking more and more for safety and more comfort. For me, this looks amazing :)

Driverless vehicles are the most dangerous and destructive thing that man can create. People who are supposed to be geniuses are actually idiots for trying to create these
The biggest question is what degree of safety improvement is considered safe? If an average driver is involved in an accident once every 100 hours of driving and self-driving technology cut the rate by half, would public embrace the technology?
Uber And lyft will be the first ones supplying the roads with the vehicles, right after they have created jobs for people, and in some cases where people actually left a job to drive for them. The car industries who are actually employing most of the people in America will be the last one developing these type of vehicles, that is only if they are still around (make it through) just saying, imagine when they have to (update) right before its supposed to bring you to an important meeting. the list goes on. I have seen store front being repaired after self parking vehicles have ran through the front display window...
