1st November 2018, is a historic day about blockchain technology in Indonesia. ASPEKTI (The Association of Indonesian Telematics Companies and Consultants) held a national seminar as well as signing a collaboration with Oracle-D. Both of them collaborate in education sector to spread the knowledge and awareness to Indonesian people about blockchain technology. One of the programs to achieve this goal was formed the Indonesian Blockchain Technology Institute, the first national scale blockchain institute in the world.

Attended by top level government officials, blockchain activists, entrepreneurs and academics. The program was guided by Alaika Abdullah as the master caremony, beginning with pray. Then the event was also opened by Nasfi Burhan who was the Head of ASPEKTI DKI Jakarta and as the Chief Executive of the seminar. He said that the national seminar about blockchain was a big event he held. Continued by Prof. Aris Junaidi as Director of Quality Assurance of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. He said that the vision of higher education must achieve superior quality and be relevant to national and global development needs.

The next session is a discussion panel moderated by Prof. Dr. Laode M. Kamaluddin, MSc., MEng. as Chairman of ASPEKTI. The discussion involved Matt Starkey as CEO of Oracle-D, Dylan Leighton as CTO of Oracle-D and Mariska Lubis, SE., M.Int.S. as Head of International Relations and Telematics of ASPEKTI.

Matt Starkey presented about the basic of blockchain technology and building communities. Dylan Leighton explained more details about the blockchain and business model revolution if using blockchain technology. Mariska Lubis interpreted what they both conveyed, she also emphasized the importance of blockchain education in Indonesia. During the discussion Prof. Dr. Laode also conveys real problems and explains the application of blockchain as a solution in the field of education.
At the end of event the MoU was signed between ASPEKTI and Oracle-D in making the Indonesian Blockchain Technology Institute as an institution that facilitates education about blockchain in Indonesia. The signing of the MoU was witnessed by all attendees. Including Ir. Eddy Kuntadi as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Jakarta Chapter, also attended and supported the blockchain education cooperation program in Indonesia.

Very impressive project @oracle-d I think that is the first time I heard about a collaboration between Steem developers / community members and actually a government entity. I hope that this project will be not the last one we see in the future! Very good Job everybody on this project!
