Quarkchain is building a Blockchain that uses sharing to provide a high-capacity peer to peer transactional system, consisting of two layers:
a. The sharding layer, which allows for effective data distribution and
b. The root layer, which serves as a confirmation tool for the first blocks.
Quarkchain believes it can satisfy the trade offs btw decentralization, security and scalability ( the three pillars of a Blockchain); thus delivering over a 100,000+ on-chain transaction per second. The nearest contender to Quarkchain will be Zilliqa.
Key features of Quarkchain include:
a. It is Reshardable
b. At least 50% of the hashpower will be dedicated to the root layer to avoid double spending attacks on transactions.
c. There will be No lower limit to the number of nodes needed for a shard.
d. Effective Support for GPU mining
e. Support for cross shard transactions confirmable in minutes
f. Very simple account management, thus allowing all Crypto’s from different shards to be stored in one smart wallet
g. Support for Turing complete smart contract platforms by integrating the ethereum Virtual Machine, thus giving easy deployments of dApps built on EVM directly on Quarkchain platform.
Quarkchain tokes are used as transaction fee and reward for miners
Closed test conducted already shows 2000 TPS.
Quarkchain will solve the problem of scalability.
In my opinion, Quarkchain will be the best project of 2018 and I’m hoping that all early whitelisted supporters will be able to participate in the crowd-sale when the time comes.
