Following on from yesterday's post about ONO, today I'd like to talk to you about a new photo and video orientated social network called SocialX. SocialX is a new blockchain-based social media platform geared towards content creators who create videos or images, and where everyone has the chance to earn some of their SOCX tokens. Unlike ONO, SOCX are already being traded on several exchanges and are currently worth around $0.027/£0.023 so there's plenty of room for growth there.
SocialX is currently still in closed beta, although you can sign up using my referral link to get in line to try this new platform out. SocialX say that their platform works similar to instagram, the massive photo and video sharing platform owned by Facebook, except that there's also a SuperLike feature too, which taps into the SocialX's own pool of SOCX tokens and transfers them to the content creator.
The interesting features don't stop there however, as they plan on having built-in exchanges for converting SOCX into other ERC-20, encrypted messenger service as well as a prepaid debit card that you'll be able to use to spend your SOCX and other ERC-20 tokens with. They are clearly looking to be an all-in-one solution to the fairly new digital content industry, and as far as I'm concerned, the more competition here the better right now.
I don't currently plan on making video content myself, so although I'll be signing up to this new social network it'll most likely just be as a consumer rather than creator for the time being. I've got plenty more blockchain-based social networks to cover over the next few days so keep your eyes peeled for those when they come out, I'm aiming for one a day. These are all new platforms, far smaller than Steemit and Steem at the moment, but they hold a lot of potential and being an early adopter of new technologies can often reap many benefits down the road.
