RE: JPMorgan Integrates ZCash Privacy Into Its Private Quorum Blockchain - And Why This Matters (A Lot)

in #blockchain8 years ago

Interesting watching Quorum, but it's still shrouded in obscurity, unsurprisingly considering the company making it.

The coindesk piece has no references which means it's a primary source, i.e. they got this info straight from the horses mouth, presumably in an interview with Zooko Wilcox.

I know Quorum has a commitment to keep up to date with the main Ethereum upstream so it's not surprising they would integrate something which Ethereum has already implemented, news which didn't feature once in the piece. You think they'd have mentioned that.

The Quorum GitHub project has had few commits in the last year considering the scale of the project so they must be doing all this updating on a private repo server which. Not great for us observers but I'm sure we'll get a merge soon if this news isn't just aspirational.

It'll be interesting to see if the Zcash integration into Quorum is significantly different from Ethereum. We'll have to wait to see.
