What is Tron: TRON: BLOCKCHAIN BASED CONTENT PUBLISHING

in #blockchain6 years ago

Tron is a new addition to the world of blockchains with an objective to create a decentralized content publishing platform for content creators where they can store or publish any textual, pictorial, audio or video information. Just like Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains are financial transactions and application development ledgers respectively, Tron is a ledger for storing, publishing and sharing all type of content.

Tron blockchain is a project initiated by one of the Forbes Asia 30 under 30 2017 stars Justin Sun who's been under personal training of the founder of internet giant Alibaba Group, Jack Ma.

On traditional internet, middlemen like YouTube, WordPress, Facebook and Flickr play the role of bridge between content creators and content consumers. Use of middlemen puts the financial interest of creators and privacy of consumers in jeopardy. They also have a power to censor and regulate content as they please. With the help of Tron blockchain, the developer community is hoping to come up with a decentralized and censor free content publishing platform that facilitates both parties - those who create content and those who consume it.

Tron, like other blockchains, also has a digital currency token named Tronix ($TRX) to facilitate information sharing within Tron's ecosystem. Tronix is surprisingly based on Ethereum blockchain and has performed exceptionally in last month or so with new cryptocurrency's market capital rising to $11 billion, almost an 8000% increase. The easiest way to buy TRX is through www.binance.com.

Within five months of its debut Tronix broke the top ten barrier in terms of market capital, however later on value correction landed it just outside the top ten group. Volatility has been an issue for the cryptocurrency recently but it seems to be a trend that plagues every digital currency.

One of the most promising aspects is that Justin Sun developed a game streaming app called Peiwo which has 10 million active users and he's successfully built a feature into his app which allows all 10 million users to tip gamers.

Tron is a functionally innovative and revolutionary blockchain that's founded upon the belief in decentralized future where there are no content gatekeepers who monetize both sides of the business i.e. creation and consumption and have total control over what's allowed on their platforms.

It’s a future where content creators will have complete autonomy over what they create, what they make money on and what they make available for public.
