I'm not so sure something like how the chinese regulate their internet isn't on the cards. Look at Germany, it's just as bad, but you just don't know it as much. Look in the UK where almost 4000 people were arrested just last year for "offensive" tweets. They're cracking down on social media, you think they won't do the same for cryptos?
The state won't disappear, and it shouldn't, cultures are too different for that to happen. But regulation will come. If it's as bad as I fear, then I don't know how much it will affect the world, but that would probably guarantee their success. We'll see :)
