What is Sesameseed?
Sesameseed is a Blockchain Community seeking to provide fair and transparent representation in delegated governance. We accomplish this mission through open communication, transparency of operations and reward sharing.
Sesameseed was founded in March of 2018 in Los Angeles California. The DPOS landscape was evolving and an opportunity was presented to assemble the community, represented collectively as one voice, in a landscape dominated by large entities. Without representation, the voice of the individual can be lost amongst self serving entities in delegated governance. By pooling the collective resources of the community, Sesameseed has brought thousands of people into the dialogue with how blockchain technology has, should, and will continue to grow.
Through honesty and transparency, Sesameseed is committed to earning the trust of its community. In holding to these values, Sesameseed has become an elected community representative and block producer with overwhelming support for its community-first ideology. In no way is this ideology more clearly represented than through the 80:10:10 resource sharing model by which SEED token is created and distributed to the community.
SEED Token
- Enters circulation in proportion to node rewards
- Backed by and redeemable for Tokens rewarded from node operation
- Earned in proportion to individual participation (voting, staking or other)
- Used to identify accounts for SEED and SEEDGerminator related airdrops
- Automatically votes/stakes for Sesameseed with the tokens backing it
- Accrues compounded interest automatically
SEED is the tokenized representation of community participation in Sesameseed. Staking, voting and allocating resources for Sesameseed as a governance representative earns SEED in proportion to each individuals stake.
SEED tokens enter circulation as node rewards in proportion to the total rewards earned by Sesameseed as an elected representative. SEED is a representation of accrued earnings.
SEED tokens provide their holders with a number of automated utilities. Wallets holding SEED are identified to receive potential SEED and SEEDGerminator related airdrops. SEED itself represents an active ongoing vote or staking of the underlying token for Sesameseed, as such these tokens accrue compounded interest, and can be used to directly fund developers through SEEDGerminator.

- Project and technology accelerator
- Connects developers to the community, to establish ongoing support for their project
- Allows projects/DApps to be funded with SEED
- A platform for the community to directly support and interact with blockchain developers.
SEEDGerminator is a community powered initiative that utilizes the SEED token to fund blockchain developers. This platform is a stage for developers to present DApps, tokens and technology, and build their own communities around an associated project. Community members who find sufficient value in a project can choose to directly support it by funding it with their SEED tokens and receive special community incentives.
Through SEEDGerminator, network related node rewards are cycled back into the ecosystem at the discretion of the community. This crowdfunding allows individuals to fund projects that are of interest to them, providing developers a directly involved community audience.
The 80:10:10 Reward Model
The 80:10:10 reward model is a representation of the community-first ideology that Sesameseed embraces. Staking/voting for Sesameseed entitles an individual to their proportional share of 80% of node rewards. Rewards are distributed as SEED token, 10% of these are allocated for the SEEDGerminator development fund, an additional 10% is allocated for operating expenses.
