RE: Regulators Are Watching Crypto Closely - Is This Good?

in #blockchain8 years ago

Cryptocurrencies are still a pretty new concept. Bitcoin only appeared about nine years ago. Governments move slowly and can't keep up with technology. The UK government has looked into the tax implications. They want their cut of any business. It gets trickier for them if we don't have to convert to fiat, but there are still limited opportunities to spend crypto directly. Crypto has lots of potential for business, but we have to counter the FUD that gets spread by some bankers.

Yes, that's the feeling I get too. I wonder how this will play out for the banks. I have a hunch that they will change dramatically in the next few years.

@dragosroua Keep your eye on SALT Tokens and being able to borrow against the value of your Crypto's in Fiat. I like it keep your crypto and be able to get funds.

Now that's an interesting concept!

We may see some societies bypass banks by using crypto. There's potential for loans and other contracts that don't need bankers.
