Cannabis Revolution and the Blockchain It Will Be Built On

in #blockchain6 years ago

The Cannabis revolution has been raging for the past couple of decades as several states in the united states have legalized it, but its own standardization, regulation and general functioning as an economic ecosystem has been severely fractured. This has induced Jessica Versteeg to head up Paragon to attempt to revolutionize the Cannabis business on Blockchain technology. Versteeg witnessed the first hand of Cannabis might have saved her former boyfriend, Tyler Sash of the NY Giants, as she thought back to the time he'd ask for her acceptance on using cannabis to help handle his pain vs the cocktail of analgesic dished to him from the NFL doctors.

But, Versteeg had fallen victim of stigma and obsolete picture of Cannabis and has now witnessed first hand the difficult regulation and lack of standardization despite the drug gaining legal validity in a number of states. Versteeg has now determined to take another tumultuous and revolutionary technology, the Blockchain, and use its power with the healing power of Cannabis to hopefully push its picture right up there to the white list alongside Big Pharma. The pain of Sash. Versteeg's story of how she became a believer in the power of cannabis comes from her adventures with Super Bowl winning boyfriend Sash.

The NY Giants player was in constant pain due to his vocation and would beg Versteeg to allow him select for a natural painkiller at Cannabis as opposed to the few tablets prescribed to him. The former Miss Iowa in the US wouldn't allow it as her picture of Cannabis was that it was a dangerous drug that could take your lifetime, and conversely her understanding of opioids was that they were 100% safe. She also concerned about the fallout of testing positive in an arbitrary drug test. Versteeg recounts how Sash would toss up nearly everyday after retiring because of concussion symptoms, she was told that is all it was out of.

Later she found numerous pill bottles with the labels ripped off and while doing some research, he realized he was concealing a dependency on her and that addiction to painkillers may take a toll on one's stomach, causing them to throw up. She mentioned that he was already falling into depression and then she confronted him about the tablets he'd bring up needing to take his lifetime. Breaking the stigma. It took Versteeg a while, but during her research that she started to comprehend the power of Cannabis and the way its reputation was all wrong. This led Versteeg to start a monthly subscription box for Cannabis products which was aimed for anybody to use without the negative stigma attached, breaking the grimy black market feel of Cannabis.

Nevertheless, the young entrepreneur quickly met the real difficulties inside the Cannabis market. Despite legislation in over 20 states, the market for legal Cannabis is broken, fragmented and unregulated.
