The usual way of buying
Every day we go for shopping or we just buy our groceries. Some of us really want to do good by buying and look for specific symbols on the products like Fairtrade (obviously very common in Europe). The Fairtrade logo suggest that this products' history has nothing to do with underpaying people in less developed countries or any other harmful farming for the ingredients. But can we trust a label that can be forged easily? Well no. I could just print the Fairtrade logo on anything. Here comes the blockchain!

Some people thought the same and what they invented is a kind of blockchain application. They use the blockchain technology to track every step a product goes through. This allows everyone who is looking at the history of a product to see where ingredients came from and how the product evolved. The invention of the blockchain somehow manages to solve a couple of problems. This one in particular can be categorized as a proof-of-correct-history problem. You can apply it to a supply chain, to the miles or kilometers your car already drove (yes some people cut off driven miles or kilometers to sell a car more profitable).

Well our society is built upon trading goods, and if we don't have to right goods on hand we just trade money. Hence Provenance also has a pricing list because it is simply business.
Finally
I am very curious whether this concept can be applied to our world and how long it will take until people only buy goods where they can read through a products life. The more complicated a product gets the more interesting would it be to see such a supply chain. Just imagine a car or your notebook. Every single chip, piece, screw whatever with it's entire history.
