One day I would like to buy a house using cryptocurrency. This was the first thought that popped into my head after the umpteenth time hearing my mom's excited chatter about Bitcoin, etherium and litecoin. Just a few months ago all of those terms were completely foreign to me, but so much has changed!
I remember the first time sheepishly asking my coworkers about Bitcoin and what they thought of it, recoiling back from the answer that that is for the black market transactions and people trying to avoid taxes. It seems only natural that the negative press would dissuade many people from learning the true meaning of this new technology, but thankfully not my mom.
Even though I am still skeptical about what converting my savings into another currency could do for me (right now), I very much value the investment in the blockchain technology. Who knows? Maybe someday soon it will be a commonplace discussion at my work because blockchain can help us take better care of our patients by better sourcing of medicines and technologies and the amount of negative press will subside and be replaced by new innovation for the "average investor".
Dream big, I say.
