Block Trades is the fastest Steem exchange and at the time of writing, the exchange conversion rates are only returning errors.
We have not had any interactions with any Block Trades officials but based on our past experiences we decided to put together this little post to inform those who might plan to use Block trades as well as to re-assure those who have experienced the glitch and wants some clarifications.
Is this normal?
Usually, no - but technically yes. Block Trades is a digital platform just like all other platforms and it could experience software difficulties as we suspect to be the case now.
Is it still safe to use Block Trades?
Sure Blocktrades is still safe. All transactions are transparent on the Blockchain and cannot be denied.Once everything is restored again(usually in minutes) - all transactions should go through at the usual rates!
So go ahead and Block Trades It!
Update: Transactions conversion rates are back again - however conversion fees are slightly higher now.
