RE: AI Adoption Will Create New Jobs

in #blog4 months ago

There is no physical difference between a CEO and a gamer and a team leader or a first year associate.

The difference is the responsibility and how these positions are compensated for the roles they play. Or do you prefer people not get compensated based on how much accountability they are expected to assume?

Most people hate change, but the reality is that once it happen, it turns out better. Don't believe me? Think of all the old jobs at the factory, and tell me if you miss them.

I do miss them. Back when the Philippines had more factories and capital was flooding in, people had jobs and that helped the economy rolling. People get paid and helped their children enroll to school or put food on the table. What AI does is weed out redundancy in the work, and take out entry level jobs. Less people needed to hire for efficiency, perfectly understandable from a profit side of things.

Would you hate your job if it could be done in a fraction of time? Or get twice the money? Probably not.

If this is a personal question, that depends. The job I do has plenty of occasions where I stretched out the consultation that could've been done in less than 10 to 15 minutes but I need to extend it longer so as not to dissatisfy clients making them feel unheard. It's like spending years to learn a trade that can be done in less than 15 minutes and people don't get why I should be paid more. But that's a personal circumstance I'm in and not general experience.

You missed the point I mentioned. I wasn't talking about their paycheck, I was talking about their image. You got CEO's looking like homeless guys, like the ex-CEO of Twitter or Vitalik.

And most times you can't tell their job or position because to the outside world, you are just a guy on the computer.
