Coin 10 New Pence 1968 - Elizabeth II - United Kingdom

The British coin ten pence (10p) - appeared on April 23, 1968 in preparation for the monetary reform of 1971 and the transition to the decimal system. She replaced the florin (a coin worth two shillings). After the 1971 reform the florin was accepted for payment, with a new face value of 10 pence. The legal circulation of the florin was terminated on July 1, 1993, after the introduction of a new 10 pence smaller coin.
