Show A Structure On You Homestead! Photo Contest

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

If you are a homesteader you have some kind of structure on that homestead. It does not matter if you are a "Homesteader" with 20 acres or 1/4 of an acre. There is something built on that homestead. It could be a house you live in, a rabbit hutch, a chicken coop, it could be an old barn on the property or your greenhouse. We want to see a structure you have on your homestead.

So Show Us A Structure From Your Homestead!

This a contest working with a new community that I got involved in and it is the GHS Collective. We have a new coin in the Discord Channel called Global Home Coin. It with the Wave Coin and you need Wave Coins to transfer these coins. Many do not have the Wave Coin and have had a hard time getting this coin, not knowing much about crypto so I decided to do a contest and give away some Wave Coin to people that participate in this contest so they can use Global Home Coin in the community. It costs .001 Wave Coin per transfer of the Global Home Coins. You will have to have this wallet on your computer to be able to get these Wave Coins and also the Global Home Coins. https://waveswallet.io/.

To enter this contest you can drop the photo in the comment section below and tell us a little about the photo. You can also make a post about this contest and enter your photo that way if you want. Just post a link to that post in the comment section below and do not forget to use the tag #ghsc as it is the tag for the community and everyone can find it easier. You might get some people to drop by and give it an upvote and that would be a plus if you have one of the winning photos. Do not forget to put your wallet address in the comment or the post so I can transfer these coins to you if you win. The contest will end when this post pays out next tuesday!

The guest judge of this photo contest will be @derangedvisions. He is a photographer, veteran and also a witness so be sure to give him a witness vote. He will be judging this contest as I do not know a lot about photography but I am learning. Taking photos seems the one way to make you better at photography and helps you learn different things as you go along. He also does several photo contests also. Do not forget to check out his blog and contests!

Come on over to our Discord channel if you are not a member of it and check us out. Be sure to get involved with our Global Coins and start buying, trading and bartering with them. Here is the wallet you will need. https://waveswallet.io/

The wallet stuff is way over my head, don't understand that stuff much. But will post a structure anyways, even if not to win.

Pasture pen - birds out1 crop June 2016.jpg

This is our pastured poultry set-up. It has 3 components: the hoop coop, the pen, and the circus tent. It measures 50' x 50' for the pen and 10' x 12' for the hoop coop. It can hold up to 90 birds. It takes 1 hour once a week to move and has protected our birds excellently for over 10 years from land and aerial depredation. It is just a seasonal structure for early summer thro mid autumn.

We take it down and store it each year at the end of the season. There are lots of posts about this system on my blog.

That is a nice setup! How long does it take to come down and how long to put up?

It takes 1 hour once a week to move. That includes taking the accessories out of the coop, taking the circus tent down, moving the pen and putting it all back together again.

If you are asking about first set-up and last take down, that's different. First set-up can take up to 4 hours, because we have to put the circus tent together, collect all the materials, often repair things (again), and we are out of practice from the year before.

Last take down can be quick or many hours depending on how much damage I have to fix. I don't like to put it away unless it's completely ready to use in the spring.

I see, it just depends a lot on damage from use and other variables. That is a great idea.
I will have to check your blog about this. It sounds like a great thing to use.

I love old barns! Makes me think of earlier days and what it was like then.

Thank you for doing this! We love this initiative!

Amazing idea! I love this contest. I upvoted and resteemed! Be well.

@basicstoliving you were flagged by a worthless gang of trolls, so, I gave you an upvote to counteract it! Enjoy!!

Thanks! There is a lot of this going on lately!

@corpsvalues I need your wallet address for Waves. @goldenoakfarm if you have figured it out I need your Waves address also.
