Today is one of those days I have no idea what to write. Most of the times I come up with something funny, sometimes with a deep dark poem but lately I'm struggling a lot and even tho I practically have to squeeze my brain I always managed to come up with something good enough.... except today. My attention its in another place. All the things happening In Puerto Rico have me drained. If you've been following my blog you know what's going on, if not then here's a quick recap and an update...
Three weeks ago almost 900 pages of a telegram chat where the governor of Puerto Rico Ricardo Rossello, higher ups of the government and his advisers were making fun about the suffering of the citizens, plotting against US federal police monitors, making misogynistic comments about several woman, mocking LGTTB community, detailing how they stole federal funds, bragging how they buy media with public funds and making fun of the death of almost 5k people after hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. Deaths that could be stopped by them by just giving the food and water they had to keep people from dying from starvation but instead of that they let the food get rotten and discarded it in the trash. The entire island got very pissed off and when to the streets to protest. For 12 days all type of protest paralyzed the island and around the world people demanding Rossello's resignation were doing strikes. In the 12th day the governor of Puerto Rico at 11:50pm announced in a video in Facebook that he resigned and all was joy! For the first time ever a governor was kicked out of his position by the citizens, we rewrite history and the eyes of the entire world were seeing that moment... but there was a catch, there's always a catch! He made his resignation official in August 2, today, and he had to nominate a successor cause the constitution of the island says that if the governor leave, the secretary of state is the new governor (we have our own sec of state) and if the person can't then the secretary of justice. The sec of state resigned of the the chat scandal cause he was one of the people in there talking trash so the next in line is Wanda Vazquez the sec of justice but she is being investigated by the FBI and she's corrupt as hell so of course people don't want her as the new governor.
Now the update...
The president of senate of Puerto Rico Thomas Rivera Schatz is like a "wannabe" Hitler.... he even have the freaking mustache! That guy use fear to control members of his party and he wants to be governor. He is making all he can to "get rid" of all the people in his way to become the new governor and to be able to do such thing hes blocking the nomination of the secretary of state Pedro Pierluisi so he won't become the new governor and also making the life of the secretary of justice Wanda Vazquez a living hell so she won't become governor either. Its been 3 weeks since all this started and for 3 weeks protests been going on non stop. Today at 5pm my time, the governor resignation will be official and he has to go but the secretary of state is still not confirmed cause Rivera Schatz is blocking the process. Also the secretary of justice is reluctant of being the governor and Rossello doesn't want the president of the senate to become the new governor of the island (no one in this island wants that either, it will be hell on Earth if that happens) so the possibility of Rossello retracting his resignation is possible and that my dear steemies that has been reading this looong post would be catastrophic!
If the governor say before 5pm he won't quit cause there's no one to take his place people will get violent. For the past 3 weeks the protests has been peaceful and millions have been there demanding the governor and all the corrupt politicians to resign but if the Rossello stays people will get out of control. The same will happen if the president of the senate a.k.a wannabe Hitler becomes the new governor. People is already getting ready to go out in "warrior mode" to destroy everything in their paths if one of those things happens. As you can imagine I've been with my heart hanging from a thin thread for the past 3 weeks. The future of my island its in the hands of those bastards that has been stealing our money, killing people of hunger and making fun of our suffering. So yeah, I can't think of something funny, or write a thriller story, or a deep poem cause my brain is just focus in what's going on here in my island. Today, at 5pm Puerto Rico will witness a new chapter in our history. We still have no idea what will happen but we're all ready to go out and fight.

I am trying to keep from seeing or reading to keep my sanity. Enough is enough, there’s a huge mess (which any outsider will notice and recognize immediately)in just not politics but in general. As for politics the entire PNP party is a complete corruption—shame on the all the brainless folks that blindly voted for all those inept. I have always hated PRican politics.
USA politics is the same shady thing! The same around the world... unfortunatedly!

Howdy blacklux! I haven't heard anything for awhile since the governor left, is Pedro the new governor? If so, then this is the best available outcome?
Pedro was governor for 5 days then the supreme court said it was unconstitutional the way he get to be governor and now the secretary of justice is the new gov... she is corrupt as well.... and her party is already plotting to get her down. So basically I had 3 governors in less than a week! :|
wow! It's a constant drama there! are people still protesting in the streets? The government can't function very well with all that change going on.
