Its been a while

in #blog4 years ago

I took a break from Hive after the whole changeover. I put so much effort into Steem that I didn't want to start over on a new platform so instead of staying on Steem, I just took a 2 year sabbatical from both. I had another child and traded a few futures on Binance which took up my posting time. Looking a the familiar accounts , some stuck with it and I am delighted that your accounts are looking fairly healthy now. Congrats for sticking with it. Dedication paid off. I am very happy it worked out.
When I logged back in , I have seen loads of changes. Some a bit complicated for the newbys I imagine. Not very user friendly. But I guess it just takes a couple of months getting to know the various new systems in place again. Is Hive Basic Income still a thing? Is @janton still alive? Are there still mad ones from the Netherlands around? By the way I was in Breda for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. I'd love to know how you are all doing. Drop me a comment. You know who you are!
I needed a few more life experiences for content so I have a few posts in the pipeline. Running Shopping Centres is a funny old game. Anyway I hope to reestablish myself on the platform. Anywho thats all from me for now.

Long time no see! I didn't know you were on Hive. But nevertheless, it's quite a pleasant surprise to meet someone from your steemit friends list on this platform.

Oh hey @tama.arin I did move over but with what happened on Steem , I kind of gave up the hope of the platform going anywhere but I have seen it has moved on . Thanks for the comment. How are you?

Sorry for the belated reply. I'm good. Thank you for asking)

Few months ago, I revived my steemit blog after an almost 9 months hiatus and it seems that the platform is still alive with some kind of life, that is concentrated almost exclusively in the communities, but in the end it's a good old Steem that it was in 2018 when I started using it.

Compared to Steem, Hive is more a side hustle, that I eventually want to turn into something bigger.

It's been great chatting with you and I hope to see you again some time.
Hope you stay safe and healthy in this pandemic

Yeah it's good to hear from you @tama.arin . We go back a long way. I might check Steem out again so . I have no allegiances like yourself.

You are back !!!! Two years sabbatical are done! Congrats on the junior blancy and your return. Nope Janton is not around but as I been told he is doing well. As am I, dedication pays off always, is it like the old days? Nope, is it better ? Nope but friends all over the world do it for me. And as for the user friendly experience and interface, we try to help out in Discord the terminal but I agree as a newbie it can be tough. You might want to check out @ecency that’s an option that’s fast and great to have on your phone, the rest well you will find out in a few days that it’s do-able, like running a shopping centre basically….

So a wedding in Breda he! In the mill, that’s great but the public transport sucks. Hope our little country didn’t disappoint any further. I was supposed to travel to the UK three times but you know Covid is a major spoiler of great times.

So welcome back, there are many still here might take a while without tagging but I am glad you found your way back. Hive on 😉

Haha . Yeah Netherlands is great. I love it there and the people . Breda was fab. I sat in a bar in the square and watched all the families get ice cream and it was very nice. The flour mill was a nice venue as well. I've been popping in and out here and there but I have more time now so Il get back into properly and boost up my power again to give you guys a decent vote .

It’s about engagement not the vote hight and the mobile Ecency app is a must
So see you in the comments and welcome back

Ah thats fine. I was always good at the old comments. Il check out that Ecency app..tha ks for the tip
