Mientras escribo estas líneas, aún después de haber pasado una semana desde que terminó la #CCSBlockchainWeek de este año, sigo procesando todo lo que pasó, preguntando si fue real o lo soñé.
Supongo que así se siente cuando experimentas lo imposible, o por lo menos, aquello que hace exactamente un año, parecía imposible.
Trataré de no divagar demasiado. Hay mucho que contar y mucho por escribir. Gracias @filoriologo, tu charla le ha dado nombre a este post.
Todo comenzó con esta foto:
El 5 de Noviembre del año pasado, estaba soñando que, luego de una semana intensa pero valiosa, podría ser speaker en una tarima donde pasaron grandes personalidades del mundo web3, personalidades que admiraba en secreto, porque no les conocía personalmente, sin embargo, conocía su gran trabajo por referencia. Personalidades como @arlettemsalase, @soylaloreto y @gorayii.

En ese momento, me parecía que solo podía soñar, porque de criptos, de web3 o de blockchain. Solo sabía los "nombres rimbombantes", de pasada, y sin mucho interés en la materia, porque ya había tenido pésimas experiencias intentando aprender de este mundo web3.
En algún momento, y armado de coraje, le conversaba a Ernesto Contreras y a Ezio Rojas, dos de los organizadores de la #CCSBlockchainWeek pasada, mi interés en asistir como speaker en la próxima edición del evento, pero que, con humildad, reconocía mi falta de conocimiento en web3, criptos y blockchain, y que no sabría de que podría hablar. Ellos, respondieron casi al unísono: "¡Lánzate!, lo peor que puede pasar es que te digan que no".
Lo tomé como un reto personal, ¡y lo acepté!
Durante un año, siendo esta fecha mi primer aniversario en Hive, estuve estudiando fuertemente, como esas pasiones que solo despiertan la más pura e inocente curiosidad. Empecé a consumir contenido y formatos de gente maravillosa como @lunaticanto, @fermionico y @dimeilaz, quien fue el que me creó la cuenta de Hive.

Aprender que es una stablecoin, que significan: HBD, APR, HP, Stake, Pools de liquidez, que es un smart contract y porque es tan importante para la web3. Aprender eso no ha sido un camino "bonito". Algunas veces me preguntaba si podría lograr aprender todo eso, porque al principio parecía imposible.
Ese es el tema principal de todo este post: de como las cosas que te parecían imposibles de alcanzar son las cosas que te están esperando para poder crecer y "lanzarte" como me lo aconsejaron Ernesto y Ezio.
No digo que ya estoy en una posición para saberlo todo o explicar cosas con fluidez, pero si he aprendido muchísimo de quienes he mencionado. Este evento me ha regalado la oportunidad de cumplir mi sueño, oportunidades de colaboración y ayudar a amigos y otros devs a integrarse a colaborar en este ecosistema tan variado.
Cumplí el sueño de estar en una tarima, conversando sobre como construir el futuro en Bear Market, un título que le hace justicia a lo que he vivido este año. Entender que es un bear market, y que afortunadamente, está dejando de ser algo para preocuparse, ha sido para mí no solo un ejercicio de dialéctica interesante, sino un ejercicio de humildad.
Además, la posibilidad de estar en contacto con @starkerz, uno de los devs de Hive a quién le debo la oportunidad de conocer más a fondo lo que ofrece Hive en tecnología y acercarme para colaborar en @vsc.network.
¿Mencioné el hecho de haber participado en el primer hackaton web3 hecho en Venezuela? De la mano de un equipo increíble que me permitió soñar: @sinsotechive, @chidorizt, @medicebeto.
Ganar el track de Hive para mí representó el comienzo de aquello que parecía imposible: Construir.
Todo lo que parecía imposible hace un año, fue realidad durante una semana. Ser considerado "experto" para ser recomendado para hablar en otro panel no menos importante: el del Hive Summit Caracas 2023, sobre accesibilidad en web3. Ahí tuve la posibilidad de hacer una diferencia entre lo que significa accesibilidad por definición, y el acceso. Siendo la primera, un principio de inclusión, mientras que la segunda es un principio de facilidad.
Es uno de los retos que los creadores de contenido, desarrolladores, startups y tecnologías web3. Fue un panel maravilloso en el que compartí con Valeska Veliz (muy querida por la comunidad de Hive, pero sin cuenta en Hive 😅) y @enrique89, un desarrollador/marketer con mucha experiencia en el ecosistema.
Entonces, ha sido un año memorable, uno para recordar que las cosas que parecen imposibles, lo son porque alguien no lo ha hecho todavía. Gracias por el regalo, la oportunidad y el cariño de una comunidad comprometida con dar lo mejor de si. Gracias por enseñarme e impulsarme a transmitirlo.
¿Se puede experimentar lo imposible? Definitivamente si, y si no lo crees, vuelve a leer desde el inicio.

While I'm writing this post, even after a week since the #CCSBlockchainWeek finished, I'm still recapping everything that happened, asking myself if that was real or I was just dreaming.
I guess it feels like that when you experience the impossible, or at least, some things that looked impossible a year ago for me.
I'll try not to rambling too much. There are plenty of things to tell and a lot to write. Thanks @filoriologo, your talk gave the name to this post.

Last year, on November, 5, and after an intense but worthy week, I was dreaming about being a speaker on that stage, where I saw great personalities from web3 world, people that I admired secretly because I didn't know them personally, but I knew their work enough. Personalities like @arlettemsalase, @soylaloreto and @gorayii.

In that moment, it seemed to me that I only could dream because I didn't know a single thing about cryptocurrencies, nor web3, nor even blockchain. I just knew the terms as "fancy names", far above and without much interest in it, because in the past, I had so many bad experiences trying to learn from this web3 world.
That day, in another moment, and armed with courage, I was telling to Ernesto Contreras and Ezio Rojas, both producers and organizers from #CCSBlockchainWeek, my interest to attend the next year as speaker, but, I'd had to admit with humble, my lack of knowledge about web3, cryptocurrencies and blockchain, and I was worried because I didn't know what to talk about. Them, answer me, almost at the same time: "Jump in!, the worse thing could happen is that they say no to you".
I took it as a personal challenge. Challenge accepted!
During a year, being this date my first anniversary at Hive, I was strongly studying, like those passions waked up by the most pure and innocent curiosity. I started to watch content and formats from amazing people such as @lunaticanto, @fermionico and @dimeilaz, being the last one, the guy that created my account.

Learn about stablecoins, what it mean exactly: HBD, APR, HP, Stake, Liquid Pools, what is a smart contract and why it is so important in web3. It has been not a "happy path". Sometimes, I was asking myself if some day I could learn all about that, because at the start, it seemed impossible.
That is the main topic of this post: all the things that you thought you couldn't achieve because they seemed impossible, are the things waiting for you to grow and jump in, just as Ernesto and Ezio told me a year ago.
I can't say I know everything about web3, nor even explain some things with fluidity, but I've learned a lot from many people. This event, has given me the opportunity to fulfill my dream, chances to collaborate with amazing projects, share with some friends, and help friends and another developers to join this ecosystem so diverse.
I fulfilled the dream of being a speaker, talking with some amazing people about Building the future in Bear Market, a title that make justice to describe what I lived this year. Understand what is a "Bear Market", and fortunately, it's been no longer something to worry about, has been for me not just an exercise of dialectics, but an exercise of humbleness.
Also, got the chance to be in contact with @starkerz, one of the developers from Hive, from which I got the chance to know deeply about everything that Hive has to offer, and make the connection to collaborate on @vsc.network.
¿Did I mention the fact I participated on the first web3 hackathon made in Venezuela? I was not alone, but with an awesome team that let me dream: @sinsotechive, @chidorizt, @medicebeto.
We won the Hive track, and for me, was the beginning of something that seemed impossible: BUIDL💪🏼
Everything that seemed impossible a year ago, was possible during a week. Being "expert" enough to be recommended to speak about "Accessibility in Web3" on Hive Summit Caracas 2023, sharing my opinions about accessibility and access. The first one is about inclusion, the other one, is about being easier to use.
That is one of many challenges that content creators, developers, startups and every other team building on web3 technologies. It was an amazing panel in which I shared with Valeska Veliz (We love her here on Hive, but she does not has an account yet 😅) and @enrique89, a marketer-developer with much experience in Hive.
In conclusion, it has been a fantastic year, one to remember that the things that seemed impossible, is because someone didn't made it yet. To all people behind Hive, to our committed community. Thank you people, for this gift, for the chance and the overwhelming love. Thanks for helping me to experiment the impossible and let me dream about it.
