RE: Taking a break: Curation is killing me! (but hey, worth it)

in #blog8 years ago

Curation is a difficult job and plagiarism or the possibility thereof, makes it even more difficult. Even though we may not be counting how many times you post what you learned in the week, we see it and I am certain that some people look forward to it.

This is the second time I have read you talk about how you missed CERN. Do not worry. I am sure you will get to go within this lifetime. There are many selfless, hardworking, awesome people here whose work go unnoticed most of the time, but the reward must come. Thank you for curating our contents. I am glad you can take a little break now.

All the best.

I tend to work in the shadows but I know my work is appreciated - all the better when people such as yourself show that appreciation too =D

The very real help we've done for people is such a great thing to witness so I don't mind, and I will definitely get to CERN one day if it kills me!

Thanks for keeping track of my posts =)

Yes, the best works are done in the shadows. You have no idea how the work you do affect people from my part of the world but I will tell you a little.

When I came on steemit, I wrote stories. I don't know if they were any good because I had never written stories anywhere else before and steemit critique is nothing to go by. While I enjoyed writing the stories, I had no background in literature so I had no idea what I was doing. When I found #steemstem, I just could not write stories anymore. Now, I am learning how to write better stories by studying the methods of successful writers. I am also getting better in my style of writing science and engineering posts.

I have stopped looking for another job like I had been doing since 2016 and I am focusing on developing myself in doing the things I really love. I have been able to do these things because of the consistency of curators such as yourself in finding my posts and rewarding them.

Getting yourself to CERN will not kill you, I am sure. And no, you will get your reward in this life. I don't see why you have to wait until afterlife or another life for that matter.

You're appreciated.

That's great to know. I've seen people buying new laptops, those who had been writing on steemit with their phones, pay off their debt and so much more. It's a reward in itself really! Glad you've had a difference come to you =)

Very much so. Of course, I changed my old laptop. I didn't even mention that. Thank you for replying my comments even though you should be resting :)
