Greetings... Great STEEMIANS. I am here today to broaden our knowledge about onions. So,let's start like this...

INTRODUCTION

   The problem of diet had become an household issue throughout the world. Many advanced nations have gone a long way in solving dieting problems both in diseases condition and healthy situations. In third world countries both developing such as Nigeria and underdeveloped such as Chard Republic are still suffering from diseases that arise as a result of inadequate food nutrients. Due to these problems,it is necessary for any nation to continue their researches in dietary and food technology.
  Part of the solutions involved in solving dietary problem the use of food supplements and condiments such as Onion. There are a lot of benefits attached to the use of Onion and they shall be discussed accordingly.

WHAT IS ONION

   According to Haimmouril M.K,1997. Onion contains 89% water, 1.5% protein, and vitamins including B1, B2, C, and potassium. Polysaccharides such as fructose, saccharose, peptides, flavonoids and essential oli is also present.
    It contains also, tin and similar sulfur compounds including allylalliin and methyl and propyl compounds of cysteine sulfoxide compound of sulphur such as Allyl propyl disulphide, propane thial-S-oxide, thioproanal-S-oxide and methin.
