He's One Of My Favourites

The evils of an omnibus bill. So hear me out real quick, guys. If you follow Reese Gorman, a Capitol Hill reporter who is actually really good, having worked for Notice, he's one of my favourites.

He asked Matthew why he switched his vote. And the simple answer was, because most of the world doesn't understand the difference between a rule vote and a final passage. Essentially, he was getting pressured and called a liar for saying he was going to vote nay, and then they're seeing him yay, and they don't understand the procedural vote versus final passage, and therefore he just flipped it.

That means, folks, the speaker now has an arduous task of having to flip two of the original four nays, and I've already outlined that for you guys, that there's only one that is malleable. Now, obviously, I don't know all the inner workings of every single person there, but you never know when you're behind closed doors what kind of concessions will be made for you to get you to switch. But this has just became increasingly more difficult.

Hanson, Kay Daly used to call it, her analogy is it's like herding cats. It's herding cats on catnip. So, a little bit of breaking news that I'm seeing.

Supposedly, my representative, Brian Fitzpatrick, is trying to negotiate more arms for Ukraine to flip. Who said this? Again, that's definitely a 6.6 thing to do. Who said that? Ross.

Ross is reporting it. Yeah. This is not the bill that they're going to negotiate that.

Who's speaking? Is it Chief? No. There's someone else. Who's speaking? There's Vinny.

Oh, Vinny. My bad. So, Vinny, no.

I mean, Fitz likes Ukraine a lot. Don't get me wrong. By the way, for those of you who don't know, he based White House correspondent Jackie Finkel.

Just in case anybody needed to know that. That's his girlfriend, FYI. I know that that's so irrelevant, but I felt like it's relevant to say it.

But no, not Jackie Finkel, Jackie Heinrich. And as far as this goes, I wouldn't put it past him, Vinny, because he is a very staunch Ukraine supporter. But I think he has other things more concerning for him.
