CONCLUDING EASTER

in #blog6 years ago

Many believe Easter has any thing to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ hence they celebrate Easter. Is Easter truly a celebration of resurrection of Jesus? Lets find out.

What Is Easter:- it is a pagan festival, which was celebrated by Anglo-saxons originally in honour of a Teutanic goddess known as Astarte or Eostre. There is abundance of historical evidence that Easter has no connection with the resurrection of Jesus Christ or true Christianity for that matter. E. Royston Pike in his Encyclopedia of Religion and Religions wrote concerning Easter as follows: "According to the Venerable Bade the name Easter is derived from Eostre, the Anglosaxon goddess of spring whose festival was kept at the spring equinox.

I will not waste time going with this topic cos people can make their own findings thereby knowing the truth about Easter.

One thing I will not fail to say is Christ was not killed on a Friday but on a Wednesday. Because the bible said it was a preparation day, people jump to conclusion it was Friday preceding Saturday - No. The bible rendered that it was a high Sabbath which makes it different from ordinary weekend Sabbath. There are other Sabbaths apart from the weekend Sabbath.
