Christ died once. One time. Enough for all. He didn't need to be sacrificed again and again like the old testament priests had to do. His one sacrifice covered everything — past, present, future.
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Hebrews 9:28 (NIV)
But here is the beautiful part: He is coming back. Not to die again, not to suffer. He already took care of sin. This time He comes to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. The question is: are you waiting? Are you ready?
Sometimes we get so caught up in the daily grind that we forget He is coming back. We worry about things that won't matter in eternity. We hold grudges, we chase stuff, we forget what really matters.
He is coming. That changes everything.
Cristo murió una sola vez. Una sola. Suficiente para todos. No necesitó ser sacrificado una y otra vez como hacían los sacerdotes en el antiguo testamento. Su único sacrificio cubrió todo — pasado, presente y futuro.
así también Cristo fue ofrecido una sola vez para llevar los pecados de muchos; y aparecerá por segunda vez, sin relación con el pecado, para salvar a los que le esperan.

Pero esto es lo hermoso: Él vuelve. No para morir de nuevo, no para sufrir otra vez. Él ya se encargó del pecado. Esta vez viene a traer salvación a los que le esperan. La pregunta es: ¿estás esperando? ¿Estás listo?
A veces nos enredamos tanto en el día a día que nos olvidamos que Él vuelve. Nos preocupamos por cosas que no importarán en la eternidad. Guardamos rencor, corremos tras cosas, olvidamos lo que realmente importa.
Él viene. Eso cambia todo.
