The recent episode 129 of Dragonball Super was as hype as it could get. Nobody has ever seen Goku break through so much against his limit. Sure we have seen Goku go Ultra Instinct in his first fight against Jiren and his fight against Kefla. Both of which, Goku had a little trouble maintaining. But now Goku has, as Beerus asked Whis to confirm, Mastered Ultra Instinct. Goku's apperance is just the same as Ultra Instinct but his hair and eyebrows are now white just like Whis and the angels. Does this mean Goku is already way beyod the level of a God of Destruction? Only time will tell. But it was rumored to be that Jiren was the being not even his own universe's God of Destruction could beat. If that is the case, Goku going toe to toe with a powered-up Jiren, must mean that Goku is already way beyond Belmond, Universe 11's God of Destruction. But none of these are confirmed. But judging from the happenings of the recent episodes, a God of Destruction level Toppo being beaten by an enraged SSB-beyond Vegeta, Jiren being stronger than Toppo, and Goku Mastering Ultra Instinct. These events are somewhat evidences of how far Goku has broken his limits. But is it enough to beat Jiren and save Universe 7?
I think Goku will be able to beat Jiren for a few reasons. First, he is the main protagonist of the show. It is not exactly likeable for the main charater to lose and die but in Goku's case, he's been back and forth from the dead. But even when he was dead, he still was the main character. Secondly, he has reached a new height in his power. Going beyond their limits is basically as SAIYAN thing. You won't be able to understand that but somehow, the S-cells within them continue to muster up new levels of power. Now it may have not been a Super Saiyan transformation but without those cells, Goku may have not been able to reach ultra instinct or mastered ultra instinct for that matter. Lastly, there is but little time left in the Tournament of Power. Goku may not have to worry about his new transformation's time limit. But then again, a few minutes in their world is hilariously about 1 episode in ours. It's probably an anime thing.
Animation wise, the recent episode 129, episodes 114 and 122 were animated by renowned animator, Yuya Takahashi. His explemery work has been outstanding to a lot of viewers due to its fine details and accurate animations making the fight scenes more destructive and awesome. You don't get to have Yuya as the animator on every episode. But when he does, its a sure damn hit. In episode 114, the first appearance of the ultra instinct. In episode 122, Vegeta broke out of his shell and moved past beyond Super Saiyan Blue. In episode 129, Goku mastered ultra instinct. All these were the masterpieces of Yuya Takahashi.
What do you think will happen in the final episode of Dragonball Super's Tournament of Power arc? Will Goku overwhelm Jiren? Or will Jiren stand his ground and defeat Goku? Tell me more on comments section!
