The story of Butthead and the Society of Less Values.
My blog today had a totaly different subject, but all of that has to wait since I feel that this subject needs some attention.
I was writing my daily ( almost daily) blog, when @abbak7 came home from work. The afternoons when we get together at home, we often delegate as us time, I’m sure like many of married or relationship “yous” do. We have a quick snack before dinner and go about how our day went. As the TV is almost always on ( my birds being the main audience, I do try to leave it on all day just for them to keep engaged. Even though they are parakeets, I still care about the content they are listening to, so I leave the TV on PBS). As I was saying, TV was on and the 6 o’clock news came about and there was a subject that I am sure many of you have heard before. If you have been living of the grid, for at least..well the last week, let me bring you up to speed.
Have you ever heard of a guy named Paul Logan? No? Me neither..I am a little bit of grid when it comes to these kind of celebrities and the ones that I must know about, I do try to forget (although I am reminded on a daily basis about their whereabouts). Well this kid, Paul Logan, is an YouTube sensation. For those of you that do not know what that is ..it simply means that he likes to film himself doing stupid crap and gets a lot of attention and money for it. Nevertheless he is a YouTube sensation, his Vlog ( thats video blog as far as I understand) managed to gather, from his stupid stunts, legions of followers, 15 million of them to be more exact! Well, in a world that is continuously building on stupidity, this is a common occurrence and you should not be very appalled by it. It will get much worse! Mark my words! Getting back to Paul, or Logan, or whatever he likes to be named. I have not been a follower of his, as you might already suspect, but the subject that he decided to share, with all 15 million of his legions, has in some way appalled me( and it is not easy to do that, since most of what I see on the news now a days seems to be appalling in some way, one has to prioritize his appallness hehe). The 21 or 22 year old,( I refuse to do research on this particular thing, since it is not of any importance), decided that he has to top somehow whatever vlog he posted prior. So he decided to go somewhere where no Vloger has gone before. To put it in his words “I think this definitely marks a moment in YouTube history because I’m pretty sure this has never hopefully happened to anyone on YouTube ever,”. And history he made! The Butthead ( no offense @buttcoins I was purely referring to the fact that it has a head of an ass, with the intention of naming him at least dumb, it was only said regarding to the Paul fella), went with the full intent of discovering something sensational, at Aokigahara, Mt. Fuji, Japan. To be more specific the place is called “suicide forest”. I feel like I don’t need to explain the reason behind the name. Any who, as he was roaming around “unknowingly” about what he might find to top his prior sensation Vlog, he stumbled upon..I’ll let you guess..on the other hand no I won’t. He “stumbled “ upon a person who had recently just died. That person had died by hanging himself and our internet sensation just “happened” to find him. As I quoted him before, he declared that he had just made Youtube history by doing so. Being the self centered YouTube sensation that he is, Paul’s reaction had to be as self absorbed as possible, reacting as he always does when being the center of the universe. He had to continue being as dedicated to the Vloging world as he was before. His “shock” upon discovering this situation, was not long lasted as the show must go on, and Paul being Paul went about describing this as and I quote “top-five craziest things I’ve ever experienced in my life.” After taking a full drink of sake ( for those of you who do not know, it is a Japanese alcoholic drink. Btw the whole incident happened in Japan!), he then pondered, giving the nature of his recent Vlog, if he should ask for people who are not one of his legions to subscribe. The pondering was minimal, as Paul is not one known to dwell much and he decided that it was a go and the Vlog itself deserves more followers ! As much as you hate Paul right now, you have to remember that Paul is a generation (x y z) new age businessman and he understands that any publicity is good publicity. And he was right! YouTube’s silence regarding the subject and the wave of appalled useless people, seemed to bring more attention to his vlog.
In conclusion, you tell me, where are we heading towards? Should we be more worried about the state of the planet, when the state of our planets youth, the future generation, has become so mentality disabled that they can no longer distinguish between good and bad values? Or has today’s society changed the basic factors of value? Who is to blame? Paul? Logan? Butthead ? Or is he the excrement of today’s society and its “values”?In conclusion (and I hate to cut it short, but I feel that it has to be done as I am not willing to endores stupidity any longer) there are some things that we can learn from Paul and his eternal search for fame and gratification. Among these conclusions I came up with some and feel free to bring your own opinions to the table, as I am very interested on the state of the “nation” in this moment. My first reaction was shock! Shock, anger and disbelief that this kind of creatures actually exist and not only exist, there are millions of them..at least 15 million! The second reaction was that this is where dumbing our society has lead us too..millions of self absorbed asses running around passing as humans with an excuse for a brain. The third happened after a full on discussion with @abbak7.. and it is more in depth.. basicaly you have to understand the culture and the trend now a days..you do something stupid and you become a celebrity..stupid shit doesn’t happen randomly..not to be in Butt heads defense, but he has become the victim of something else..the values that describe our society today..when the values that describe our society lead to this kind of behavior, then what else is to be expected? What good can we produce in a society that values the wrong ideas?

Nano fame...it the new buzz...you are famous in a smaller circle...and for more pathetic reasons most of the time. its all being propelled by the attention economy...sad state of affairs. I keep hoping steemit and these new decentralized tokens and coins can help switch things if even slightly. I wont be holding my breath...but hope and pushing toward that hope makes me feel a bit better about it all.

Never heard of Paul "Butt Head" Logan, but he is a victim of the society he lives in which you pointed out. The problem with him is he chose to be the victim like most the other jackasses running around doing stupid crap all for a piece of worthless printed fiat currency.
I had read a story years ago about that place in Japan and it seemed to me that it was pretty much an "off limits" place , I wonder if he violated any laws while he was there? The government officials surely won't be happy with Paul and what he decided to do, there may be a surprise for Paul should he ever decide to return to Japan, or if he is still there he might want to consider leaving before his Vlog gets the attention of the government officials. Either way I hope he gets what he deserves in the way of karma.
I think he is the most hated person in Japan..surely he won’t go back any time soon..he will be fine either way..I am more worried about the amout of stupidity that his followers have accumulated because of the way society has developed...
He has been researching on youtube. How amazing how fame can drive a person crazy. How horrible, Logan is wrong. Life is not a show, life is real. Changing the subject, I would like to tell you other things but not in the comments. If you have another red to communicate. Thank you
