This really got to me, and I agree wholeheartedly with you. Let's be honest, I don't think anyone comes to steemit to study for a test, that's what books are for. We write mostly for money, yes, but we read to be entertained, and if in the process we learn something new that's just the cherry on top. I always try to make my posts as informative as possible, but I make sure that they're interesting as well, and always leave a piece of my personality in them. I think that's the real way to be known on this platform, and to create a real following. Making so people read you more for who you are than for what you write.

This, really well said! Generally when I'm curating for the team, if something is just a worse-version of something from Google, such as a re-worded WebMD.com post, I'm not gonna upvote it. That's not what needs promoting.
