The story of how mk evolved into mthrshpk
MK was an online alias from way back in the 00's when I was playing Counter-Strike (&Source) and other kinds of shooters like Quake 3. I hung out all day in the Gamesurge/Quakenet IRC servers usually looking for an organized scrim or to talk trash to other teams.
The name MTHRSHP, spelt just like that, came about when I freshly formatted my brothers old computer for use again. For the first time in about 3 or so years, I had my machine back.
I was ecstatic;
Not only would this dope custom built P.C. bring me back into the world of competitive gaming: I also wanted it to be my vessel for my music. MTHR became my brush, filling silent voices of sonic space. It really opened up some opportunities for me.
On that end, I decided to respect my instrument of harmonic creation by combining my alias for online gaming as well as my vehicle of production.
