What is innovation?

I define innovation as anything that is new, useful and surprising. Surprising because usually you will not hear many people talk about it, but at the same time, the same people could imagine using this product/service in their everyday life.
Startups don't win by attacking.
They win by transcending.
There are exceptions of course,
but usually, the way to win is to
race ahead, not to stop & fight.

How does Mynlo innovate?
Mynlo doesn't try to compete with big social networks out there. Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and Steemit are great in what they do and I use them often myself. They focus more on big massive social interaction, on the contrary Mynlo does focus more on privacy and the re-focus on your close circle of relationships.
Mynlo does actually have some competitors in the online journal niche. Penzu is the biggest, followed by jrnl.com and journalate, 10 others and some new apps in the Android and IOS store.
Competition is great in my opinion, as it means this is a field were profit margins exist and it will be fun proving that there is a place for another business in this industry.
And were is the innovation you talked about?
It is by taking privacy to a totally new level. Mynlo operates a database for registering users, so they can generate entries and reserve memories in a save place. Besides the user, noone has access to this data. So nothing new on here.
Additional Mynlo offers a print service, which works separately, on a different database, so any billing and shipping address data, cannot be connected with the personal data used to sign up with Mynlo.
So practically you can have an account with us, ordering a photobook, a framed print or standard sized prints and we will not know that you are the same person. You can buy from us, without even the need to log in.
Great for you, bad for us.
Joke aside. We truly believe it isn't necessary to know how you behaved in the past, your resume, all your little tiny secrets and also getting our hands on your contact list, just because you want to print out some pictures.
The concept of an online journal combined with a printing service in this form hasn't been existed until today.
Distraction of the week
I tried to fight distraction this week, as many business related decision had to go through, so I found myself in searching for ways to increase my focus.
