First time I blog as well but I find it a great place to post and comment about my interests as a community. It also has financial incentive that is transparent and pretty easy to understand. It also is based on blockchain technology which is so interesting given the potential it has to disrupt many industries in the future.

Steemit does have a lot of things going for it; I'm hoping that when they launch the "HiveMind/Communities" feature it will become easier to find others and content that matches our interests.
