RE: In Love with Fine Things & The Neighborhood - FASHION ART

in #bloglast year

I admire people that can or could sew their own clothes. My mom and sister did and I learnt a little when I was young but never got into it, other interests. Great coincidence that the little tailor shop is in the same building and good job on getting to know the owner and working with him.

I know what you mean with monotonous work. When I am at work I cannot really stand it because it feels, hmm, stupid and unproductive (though it needs to be done) but at home or e.g. in my art I sometimes love it because your mind can wander freely while your fingers do their job on autopilot.

Thank you for visiting. Yes, I also admired people being able to tailor their own fashion. It's a skill which needs to be practiced a lot. And I would say that I am still a beginner. Many mistakes happen in the process.

Yes, monotonous work given by others is a pain. I remember in my young years as a trainee I was given a lot of it and I couldn't stand it and almost fell asleep while doing them. In my despair I went to the restrooms and dosed off a bit on the toilet bowl. Though it got all the heavier to get back at the desk. LOL
While self chosen stupid work does exactly what you say.

What kind of self chosen monotony gives you joy?
