Hi @eco-alex, lovely to continue to see your story develop. And I am really impressed you found the self-belief to go ahead even without support from Mike! I know I would have been somewhat paralysed at that point. Out of curiosity did the compromise with the damp proof membrane work out? Also nice to hear that your trust in the local tyre suppliers was not misplaced and rather jealous that you had that amazing team of diggers to speed up the process... It is astounding how long levelling the site took! Looking forward to the next part. Upvoted and resteemed!

thanks Olyar.. Im pleased you are keeping up with the Diary! You know, i think because it was my dream for SO long, that come what may i was going to do this.. You will see soon as the story develops that the help i really needed came always by magic and just on time!

Next time i will also should you pictures of the way i sealed the structure.. it is totally fine thank god due to Very good drainage and the tar / plastic sheets i wrapped the sides up with.. The floor never gets damp and was raised using stones..
