Seemingly I have 3 days off from work, day 1 is almost over and I am thinking I might like more along the lines of forever off from work.
Surely by within the first month of not having to suffer through speaking to others a person would start to feel a lot more chill.
Vacation is in general a cruel torture if you think about it. A reprise before inevitable pain.
I guess if your limbs were being hacked off then any reprise is taken greedily and willingly.
There might be stages where you accept the pain and muster on seemingly unscathed and affected.
So probably 3 days off is a good thing and all that. Maybe it all seems fresh on my return.
Obviously, that is a lie, but a lie worth telling.
In month 2 of perpetual vacation I guess boredom would set in. That is why you would probably need some form of "work" to remain useful to yourself.
Most hobbies turn into work as it is, I guess what to be wary of is whether you are doing them for yourself or for others.
The quickest way to despise doing anything is effectively to do them for others unless that is your thing. In which case I have no sympathy.
I think luckily I have hobbies that could very well keep me from becoming a slug if I were to have a perpetual vacation. The hard part I guess will actually be balancing being pulled into things which before I know it then is no different from work and mandatory interactions.
Essentially that is what work comes down to, mandatory and forced interactions. Day in and day out, entertaining the satan spawn.
For now though I will chill a bit on this lazy Christmas day, lose all my chess games and feed my mood with a tune or two.
