All the doctor appointments here are 15min and they all used to be bulk billed but then I don't actually know what happened (taxes are supposed to make all the basic medical care like doctor appointments and six monthly dental checkups free but like everything else taxes seem to keep going up while wages stay relatively stagnant and services like this keep disappearing, now bulk billing is only for under-16 or if the doctor decides to bulk bill for whatever reason, some of the doctors we've seen previously have been really nice about it). 10-15min is plenty of time for a normal appointment I think. We also have extended appointments for more serious things like mental health planning.
I think you dealt with a potential terminal situation in a pretty sensible way and the bright side to doing it that way is now your funeral plans are sorted and you might just have to update them in a couple of decades?
