And I Know The Reasoning

in #blog2 days ago

What is up, George? Diligence. So, real quick, just to give everybody some updates. So, the four nays so far on the big, beautiful bill, I just want to, because I got the names, I know the states, and I know the reasoning.

So, just kind of give you guys a rundown. So, the four nays so far are Congresswoman Sparks from Indiana, Fitzpatrick from Pennsylvania, Self from Texas, and Andrew Clyde from Georgia. Sparks, because it does not, it does not save enough money, and it's too much spending.

Fitzpatrick is based on Medicaid. He's vehemently against cutting Medicaid. Self, it's because it does not save enough, and it's adding to the deficit.

Clyde is because it's adding to the deficit. And also, there's two Second Amendment provisions that he does not support, and therefore, that he supports that were removed from the bill set from the House. So, he's a nay.

Then, on the holdout side is where the danger is, because it is exactly who people are, were scared of, but it is the Valadao, Roy, Perry, Rasheen, Birchett, Burleson, Cloud, Harris, and Under, right? So, Rep. Valadao, it's all because of Medicaid, because he's a California Republican, and every other one on down, it all has to do with expense, with the cost of it. So, that is who those folks are.

I knew Burleson was going to be a nay on this version of the bill because of the spending. He told us that last week. Yeah, I know.

Same with Roy. Chip Roy has been holding out. Are they going to make concessions, George? I think concessions at this point is difficult to even imagine what they look like.

It's tough. Is it because it's late in the game, or what? Give me one second. I'm just getting something cleared up here.
