Every person has a different view and different thinking, we can understand someone but we cannot change his thinking.
Some don't think, they run on feelings; and those are dangerous! Some can be educated, but some are beyond reach of logic and facts. We have a saying here, "you can't fix Stupid'; that applies directly to these non thinkers....

It is true that we never want to change the minds of those who do not want to change themselves. Such people like to listen, but they do not like to follow the words and act according to them
They are sadly a malignancy, because they believe they are smarter than everyone else! Here, I find they don't listen much at all; and spend their time trying to talk over others; to 'prove' their 'wisdom', and superiority.
